| The Splaine family have been running a highly successful equestrian business on their stud farm and equestrian centre at Coolcorron, Belgooly, Co. Cork for more than 25 years. Robert Splaine has a worldwide reputation in international equestrian competition and in promoting the Irish horse during that period. Many of his international successes have been with Irish Sport Horses.

The facilities at Coolcorron Stud are excellent and ideal for an equestrian centre with exclusive show jumping training and accommodation for horse and rider. It has an additional isolated barn, purpose built as an Equine Semen Collection Centre.

Robert Splaine has achieved unequivocal success in international equestrian competition and has been Irelands greatest ambassador in promoting the Irish sport horse world-wide. This commitment to Irish breeds by professionals such as Robert is vital from an international horse marketing perspective. He represents a unique combination of breeder-rider.

Robert has represented Ireland on many winning Nation Cup teams, including Pavrotti in San Marino-Italy, Lummen CSIO Belgium (twice), Dublin CSIO, Rotterdam CSIO Holland, Lisbon CSIO, Portugal and many more. Coolcorron Cool Diamond had the honour of being the only approved Irish stallion competing in the Samsung Nations Cup Series in 2000, helping Ireland achieve a world record 10th Victory. Robert has also won the Canadian Airlines Challenge event at Calgary, Alberta - Canada, and the Heineken Irish Show Jumpers Derby at Millstreet. In addition he is a past member of the Irish Aga Khan Trophy team at the Dublin Horse Show. Robert was also Irish Show Jumping Champion on numerous occasions.

He is closely related to 'Hopes are High', '98 winner of the Du Maurier International Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows - Canada, The Dublin Grand Prix, The Dijon Grand Prix, etc. Both are Grandsons of 'King of Diamonds'
'Coolcorron Cool Diamond' is fully approved and registered with the Irish Horse Boardand because of his excellent international success, he has now been approved with the Selle Français Stud Book, in France. Because of his achievements there is now a demand for his semen world-wide.
Many Riders have been very successful under the guidance & training of Robert, who because of his success & experience gained over many years at top international level, offers instruction to riders who wish to avail of his vast experience.
